- Provide account management to an assigned territory or set of clients
- Establish working relationships and contact customers on a regular basis
- Serve as customer liaison to other Layered Technologies departments
- Achieve monthly quota via upgrade sales, new cross sales and customer renewals
- Establish customer references to refer to prospects
- Field inbound contact requests from prospective clients to close or assign to Sales
- Mentor and assist new Account Managers
- Other account management duties as assigned by manager
- 3-5 years experience selling large deals to C-level prospects
- Background in IT infrastructure or integration companies including hosting service providers, software, security, IT consulting, or system integration
- Proven and verifiable history of exceeding sales quotas using consultative selling techniques
- Formal sales methodology training (Sandler, Carnegie, Miller Heiman, etc.)
- Strong written / verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and lead teams at all levels across Layered Technologies departments
- Capable of identifying opportunities and removing obstacles or objections to the successful sale of Layered Technologies services
- Bachelor’s Degree prferred
- Self-motivated, high energy and a strong work ethic
Additional Desirable Experience:
- Advanced knowledge of hosting infrastructure, virtualization technology, IT security, web development, or databases
- Industry knowledge in retail, legal, media, financial or Web 2.0 verticals
- Working knowledge of SalesForce.com
- Fluency in secondary languages
Education / Experience
- BA/BS degree or 3+ years of relevant work and industry experience.
- 3 + years of Sales experience with verifiable consistent goal attainment.
- Prefer Sales experience in telecommunications, data or Internet industry.
