Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
Job Requirements
- Participate in business requirements gathering and rules definition.
- Translate business requirements into business solutions utilizing the VB.NET and SQL Server platform.
- Interface with developers and functional representatives to construct and recommend improvements, changes, and long term directional opportunities
- Lead and define code modifications, configuration modifications, and associated test practices to insure a high integrity of the environment
- Coding and testing program modules that meet design specifications; assisting in design
- Assisting in process analyses that will identify requirements related to people, processes and technology
- Participate in the maintaining, tuning and repairing of the platform to keep it performing according to technical and functional specifications
- Provide user support and cross training of other personnel in user support activities
- Integrates vendor product plans and LT needs for application growth, functionality, and support.
- Must be able to work with inter and intra-departmental management to incorporate system and application impact as a result of other shared data or application development efforts. Includes data mapping/interfaces to other internal and external applications and service providers
- Effectively communicate status of tasks and projects
Critical Skills
- 5 + years experience developing applications and systems
- Exposure into all .NET elements required
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server Skills
- Experience in the following languages
- Experience working within a software development life cycle framework
Education / Experience
Bachelor degree in Computer Science with a Masters degree preferred
CERTIFICATION / LICENSING
Microsoft Certified Professional Developer is a plus
